To earn full credit, your smart score needs to be at least an 80. These skills will not be due until we finish the chapter. You may start these skills early.
This week I will be administering the NWEA test in class. This test is an adaptive test. Your child will answer questions and the test will then recognize the questions which are easier for them and increase the difficulty. Students may see questions with vocabulary they have never seen. This is acceptable because the test is increasing the difficulty to determine your child's skill level. You will receive the scores withing 30 days after testing. Once I have the scores, I will be able to determine their strengths and weaknesses in the different strands. For example, some students score high with algebraic thinking and lower in the geometry section. I will also be able to see their progression from last year as well as throughout this year.
